Frequently Asked Questions

• Is Beauty Tracker & Planner free?
  Yes. Beauty Tracker & Planner is completely free to use, with no subscription required. If you'd like to support future development, you can leave an optional donation on our support website. Donations do not unlock any additional features.
• How do reminders work?
  Each upcoming appointment can remind you a few hours or days before it. You can also turn on a booking reminder for each treatment: Beauty Tracker will remind you when it's time to book your next visit. Reminders are local notifications on your device.
• How do I add a treatment or appointment?
  To add a treatment, tap the + button at the top of the Home screen. To add a visit or an upcoming appointment, tap + on the treatment's card, choose the date and time, add any details you like, and save.
• Can I add photos to a visit?
  Yes. You can add up to 5 photos to any visit to keep a visual history of your results. Photos are chosen with the system photo picker, so the app never gets access to the rest of your photo library, and location and other metadata are removed when a photo is added.
• Can I track how much I spend?
  Yes. Add a price to your visits and the Spending section will show totals, averages and spending by category.
• Can I customise treatments?
  Yes. You can change treatment names, icons, colours and reminder settings.
• Does my data sync between my devices?
  Yes. If you're signed in to iCloud, Beauty Tracker syncs your data through your private iCloud database to your other devices with the same Apple ID. You can check the status in Settings → Data. Without iCloud the app works fully on your device.
• How do I back up my data?
  Open Settings → Create Backup and save the backup file to Files or share it. To restore, choose Settings → Restore from Backup. A restore replaces the data currently in the app.
• Can I lock the app?
  Yes. Turn on App Lock in Settings to require Face ID or Touch ID when you open Beauty Tracker. Your device passcode can be used if Face ID or Touch ID isn't available.
• Are my photos and treatment history private?
  Yes. Your treatment history, photos and notes are stored on your device and, if iCloud Sync is on, in your private iCloud database. They are never sent to servers operated by the developer. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
